TTIP is an international agreement to facilitate trade between the EU and the US. This agreement will remove regulatory barriers to trade for a wide range of goods and services, including chemicals, cosmetics, food, motor vehicles, pharmaceutical products, textiles and clothing. HCWH Europe is concerned about the impact of TTIP in relation to the lowering of existing EU environmental and health standards and the protection of its citizens. HCWH Europe works to educate the public about the potential health impacts that TTIP will have for the EU, and urges the public and the healthcare sector to push for the rejection of major changes in TTIP.
