In my role, I support the development of the Global Green & Healthy Hospitals network. I enjoy connecting healthcare organisations with the tools our network has to offer to improve their sustainability.
I hold a BSc in Health Sciences from Maastricht University and a European MSc in Health Economics and Management. My interest in environmentally sustainable healthcare started during my studies where I wrote my thesis on the carbon footprint of intensive care units in the Netherlands.
Before joining Health Care Without Harm, I assisted healthcare organisations in becoming more patient-centred through various positions. These included both practical and research-oriented positions.
I like to spend my spare time being active; rowing and hiking are my favourite activities. Being from the Netherlands, I am of course fond of cycling, whether it is commuting to work or going on a day tour. After a day of work or being active, I also enjoy cooking and sharing meals with my friends and family.
