Helena Uhl - Communications Officer - Climate-smart Healthcare
At HCWH Europe, I act as a liaison between the Communications and Climate-smart Healthcare teams, ensuring that the communications requirements of the Climate-smart Healthcare team are met – from developing the climate communications strategy to producing content for websites and providing support for events and campaigns.
Before joining HCWH Europe, I worked as a Communications Officer at a London-based non-profit, where I was responsible for producing and managing multimedia content for their website and social media. Although I completed internships at various newspapers during my undergraduate degree, it was while working at an EU research institute in Italy that I realised I was more passionate about communications.
I hold a BA in journalism from City University of London and an MSc in Communication Science from the University of Amsterdam.
I joined HCWH Europe because I am very excited by the organisation’s role in communicating the climate crisis as a health crisis. As this becomes more important than ever, I am eager to use my passion for communications to help spread this message further, working with healthcare professionals throughout Europe to do so.
