Providing a summary of last year’s achievements, our 2020 annual report takes a look back at the impact of the organisation’s work and some of the changes that we have made, developing our networks and programmes.

As we all know, it was an unprecedented and immensely challenging year for the healthcare sector in 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic placed an extraordinary burden on our network. It has undoubtedly been the most immediate issue facing our members and is quite rightly a priority.  

We have been inspired by our members, however, who have continued working hard to make their services more sustainable in spite of the disruption caused by the pandemic. Like us, they recognise the parallels between COVID-19 and major environmental health threats, such as the climate crisis, and are committed to developing common solutions that can deliver a more resilient, sustainable healthcare sector in Europe. 

In 2020 we were able to move forward with valuable and important project work in each of our programmes, as well as launch new networks and initiatives and produce a new five year strategic plan for the organisation. You can read more about all these activities and more in this annual report.
